We made it happen! What an extraordinary coastal rowing weekend!

Twenty two youth athletes learned news skills in coastal rowing beach sprints at the first ever beach sprints development camp in the Midwest, and one of the first in the United States.

Hosted by Great Miami Rowing Center the intention was to show and promote this new coastal sport to young athletes.

The two-day event held May 22-23, was a huge success. It included theory classes, skills training, a time trial on Saturday, and quarter-, semi- and finals on Sunday.

We’re amazed by the sportsmanship and the love for the sport that these athletes demonstrated in a healthy, safe, and fun competitive way. It made us so proud and happy to see them enjoy, learn ,and progress as athletes!

Big thanks to the assistant coaches Kyle Brendan Stanley, Pedro Palacios, Payton Sancrant, and Avery Riekert for their help, and USRowing referee Eric Chiang for all his support.
